# Baki Watch Order Source: https://www.animechrono.com/franchise/baki Last updated: 2026-10-29 Last checked against current sources: 2026-10-28 Maintained by the AnimeChrono community. 11 entries in chronological viewing order. The Baki watch order covers the modern series across multiple seasons plus two OVA films, arranged in correct chronological sequence. Start with the opening OVA movie, then watch the first season's 24 episodes and the second season's 24 before reaching the next OVA film. From there the order moves into the follow-up series, split into three 13-episode seasons, and wraps with a final 12-episode block. Watching the two OVA movies where they appear — one near the beginning and one partway through — keeps the fights and story beats in the order they were meant to be seen. If you are trying to sort out where to start and how the OVAs slot between the seasons, follow the entries top to bottom and every installment lands in its proper place along the timeline. ## Recommended first watch Watch in release order. The 2018 Netflix series Baki (26 episodes, two blocks of 13) follows, then the Great Raitai Tournament (13, 2020). Next come Baki Hanma (12, 2021), Baki Hanma Season 2 (27, 2023) and the Baki-Dou seasons (13 in February 2026, 12 in June 2026). The two OVAs (1994 and 2016) are optional: the first is an alternative telling and the second came bundled with a manga volume. **Do I have to watch the 2001 series first?** It is the earliest TV story: AniList lists the 2018 Baki as a sequel to the 2001 Maximum Tournament season, so watching in release order keeps the story in sequence. The 2001 episodes are older animation. **What are the two OVAs?** Grappler Baki: The Ultimate Fighter (August 1994) is an alternative telling of the early story, and the 2016 Baki OVA was bundled with the 14th Baki-Dou manga volume. Both are optional. **What is the chronological order of Baki?** Start with OVA Movie (Grappler Baki: The Ultimate Fighter (1996)), then continue with Season 1: Episodes 1-24 (Baki the Grappler (2001)), Season 2: Episodes 1-24 (Baki the Grappler (2001)), OVA Movie (Baki: Most Evil Death Row Convicts Special Anime (2016)), Season 1: Episodes 1-13 (Baki (2018)), and Season 2: Episodes 1-13 (Baki (2018)), followed by 5 more entries.
