# Gurren Lagann Watch Order Also known as: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, TTGL Source: https://www.animechrono.com/franchise/gurren-lagann Last updated: 2026-10-30 Last checked against current sources: 2026-10-30 AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special in chronological story order, mark optional entries, say where to start, and are maintained by signed-in fans with versioned edits that can be reverted (6 entries in this order). The Gurren Lagann watch order is built around the 27-episode main series, with a set of 15 short videos to follow. Start with Episodes 1-27, which carry Simon and Kamina's story from the underground village all the way to its cosmic finale. After the series, the Parallel Works music videos (Videos 1-8 and 9-15) offers additional short content to round out the experience. Since the series runs as one continuous arc, the correct order is simply Episodes 1 through 27 first, then the videos afterward. If you're wondering where to start, Episode 1 is the entry point, and everything else fits after the main run. That keeps Gainax's mecha epic in its intended sequence — the full television story first, with the shorts as a companion piece rather than something to watch beforehand. ## Recommended first watch Watch the TV series, episodes 1-27 (2007).
