The Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress watch order pairs the original twelve-episode season with the Battle of Unato movie trilogy, and this is the correct order to follow Ikoma and Mumei's fight against the Kabane. Start with Episodes 1-12, the WIT Studio series that establishes the steam-powered world and its undead threat, then continue into the films: The Battle of Unato Part 1 Gathering Light, followed by Part 2 Burning Life, and finally the compilation Movie 3: The Battle of Unato. The movies pick up directly after the season, so watching them in this sequence keeps the story flowing without gaps. If you were wondering where to start or whether the Unato films come before or after the show, the answer is that the episodes come first and the trilogy resolves what they set up, including all movies in the proper chronological order.
