# The Eminence in Shadow Watch Order Also known as: Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!, TEIS Source: https://www.animechrono.com/franchise/the-eminence-in-shadow Last updated: 2026-10-29 Last checked against current sources: 2026-10-28 Maintained by the AnimeChrono community. 3 entries in chronological viewing order. The Eminence in Shadow watch order covers both seasons — 32 episodes total — plus the Zankyou-hen movie, in the correct order. Start with the first season's episodes 1–20, where Cid Kagenou role-plays as a shadowy mastermind only to stumble into a conspiracy that's genuinely real. Continue straight into the second season, episodes 1–12, then finish with the recap film Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!: Zankyou-hen. The movie condenses and reframes earlier events, so it plays best after you've seen both TV seasons rather than before. There are no OVAs or side specials to track down here, which keeps the sequence clean: two cours of television back to back, followed by the compilation feature. If you only want the ongoing narrative, the two seasons alone deliver the full arc, and the movie is a bonus for anyone who wants a recap before whatever comes next. ## Recommended first watch Watch Season 1 (20 episodes, 2022), then Season 2 (12 episodes, 2023).
