Also known as Science Adventure series, Chaos;Head, Chaos;Child, Robotics;Notes, ChäoS;HEAd, ChäoS;Child
The Science Adventure watch order covers the anime adapted from 5pb. and Nitroplus's visual novel series, which share one world and a few characters. Steins;Gate, Steins;Gate 0 and the film Load Region of Déjà Vu have their own Steins;Gate watch order page, so they are not repeated here. In in-world order, start with Chaos;Head (Episodes 1-12, 2008), set in Shibuya in 2009. Steins;Gate (2010) comes next. Chaos;Child (Episodes 1-13, 2017) is Chaos;Head's direct sequel, set six years later; the film Chaos;Child: Silent Sky (2017) adapts its true ending and should follow straight after. Robotics;Notes (Episodes 1-22, 2012-2013) takes place in 2019 and refers back to Steins;Gate, so watch it after that. Each story mostly stands alone. Occultic;Nine is a separate series by the same creator, not part of Science Adventure.
Most viewers start with Steins;Gate (own page). For the rest: Chaos;Head (12 episodes), then its sequel Chaos;Child (13) and the Silent Sky film, and Robotics;Notes (22), best after Steins;Gate.
Each story mostly stands alone.

Watch Science Adventure in this order. 4 entries, chronological.
AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.

It helps. Chaos;Child is a direct sequel set six years after Chaos;Head and refers back to its events. The anime can be followed alone, but Chaos;Head first adds context.
Steins;Gate is set in 2010, after Chaos;Head (2009) and before Chaos;Child (2015) and Robotics;Notes (2019). It has its own watch order page on AnimeChrono.
No. Occultic;Nine comes from the same creator, Chiyomaru Shikura, but it is a separate series and not set in the Science Adventure world.
