Also known as Inu Yasha
The Inuyasha watch order lays out 193 television episodes across two series, with four movies slotted in at the right breaks and two finished Yashahime seasons after. Start with Episodes 1-27 and 28-55, then watch Affections Touching Across Time before Episodes 56-82. Keep going through Episodes 83-95, after which The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass fits in, then Episodes 96-110 and 111-136 lead into Swords of an Honorable Ruler. Episodes 137-138 and 139-167 follow, with Fire on the Mystic Island landing just before The Final Act, Episodes 168-193. Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon and its Second Act (24 episodes each) close the list. The films sit where they opened, between the episodes that aired around their release.
Start at episode 1 of the 2000 series, then The Final Act, then both seasons of Yashahime.
The four films are original side stories. This page slots them between episode blocks, and the TV plot does not depend on them.
Yashahime is a sequel about the next generation. It expects the original series and The Final Act first.

AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
