Clannad Watch Order
5 entries · · community-maintained
The Clannad watch order spans a feature film, two television seasons, and two OVA episodes, and this guide keeps them in the correct order. You can open with Clannad the Motion Picture, a standalone retelling, though the heart of the franchise is the series itself. Watch Episodes 1-23, the first season, then the Single Episode OVA before moving into Episodes 1-24, the After Story season that most fans consider the emotional core. Finish with the second Single Episode OVA, a side story best saved for after After Story concludes. Slotting each OVA immediately after its parent season preserves the chronology and keeps the alternate-path extras from spoiling the main arcs. Follow this sequence for the full experience in order, including both OVAs and the movie, whether you are figuring out where to start or making sure you watch After Story in its proper place after the first season.

How this order works
AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
