Also known as Digimon: Digital Monsters, Digimon Adventure
The Digimon watch order lines up all six television series and 16 films into a single chronological path, beginning with the Digimon Movie 1: Digimon Adventure short before Episodes 1-51. Rather than marathoning each series and saving the films for last, this correct order slots every movie into its release window: Mokura no War Game follows the first series, The Golden Digimentals bridges into the second, and Diaboromon Strikes Back, The Adventurer's Battle and Runaway Locomon land before the fourth 50-episode run. Later films — Revival of Ancient Digimon, X-Evolution and the Savers features — sit alongside their matching series. The sequence closes with the six-part Digimon Adventure Tri saga, from Reunion and Determination through Confession, Loss, Coexistence and Future. If you want to watch Digimon in order including all movies, this is where to start and exactly where each film belongs.
Start with Digimon Adventure (1999), then Adventure 02 (2000). The 2015-2018 tri. films continue that same cast; watch them after 02.
Tamers, Frontier, Savers and Xros Wars are separate stories with new casts; each can be watched on its own.
The films are mostly side stories tied to the series they sit next to; X-Evolution and the Savers 3D short are optional.

AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
