The Drifters watch order pairs the 12-episode 2016 series with a cluster of OVA shorts, and the sequence opens with the Drifters: Special Edition OVA before the main run. After that recap-style opener, watch Episodes 1-12 straight through — this is the core of the story, following Shimazu Toyohisa and other legendary warriors pulled into a fantasy world to wage war. The remaining shorts — Kokuou Goranshin, Rewrite, Bring on a War, the second Kokuou-sama Goranshin and The Outlandish Knight — are supplementary OVA extras that sit after the television episodes rather than interrupting them, so save them for last.
