Drifters Watch Order

The Drifters watch order pairs the 12-episode 2016 series with a cluster of OVA shorts, and the sequence opens with the Drifters: Special Edition OVA before the main run. After that recap-style opener, watch Episodes 1-12 straight through — this is the core of the story, following Shimazu Toyohisa and other legendary warriors pulled into a fantasy world to wage war. The remaining shorts — Kokuou Goranshin, Rewrite, Bring on a War, the second Kokuou-sama Goranshin and The Outlandish Knight — are supplementary OVA extras that sit after the television episodes rather than interrupting them, so save them for last. For the correct order, lead with the Special Edition OVA if you want the primer, run the twelve episodes, then finish with the bonus OVAs. There are no movies here, and the main season stands on its own if you would rather skip the extras entirely.
