Also known as Golden Kamui
The Golden Kamuy watch order is mostly release order, with a few manga-bundled OVAs and one theatrical cut to place. Start with Season 1, Episodes 1-12, where Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi Sugimoto and the Ainu girl Asirpa begin hunting for stolen Ainu gold in Hokkaido. Seasons 2 and 3 (Episodes 1-12 each) and Season 4 (Episodes 1-13) continue directly, and together they make up episodes 1-49 of the anime. The OVAs listed after Season 1, Season 2 and Season 4 adapt side chapters of the manga and are optional. The Final Season, Episodes 1-13 from January 2026, picks up in Sapporo; the two Sapporo Beer Factory Arc films from October 2025 are an early theatrical version of its opening, so watch one or the other. The Runaway Train Arc that concludes the story is announced for winter 2026 and will be added when it airs. The live-action films are a separate adaptation and are not part of this order.
Watch the seasons in order: Season 1 (2018, 12 episodes), Season 2 (2018, 12), Season 3 (2020, 12), Season 4 (2022-2023, 13), then the Final Season (2026, 13).
The OVAs are optional side chapters, and the 2025 Sapporo Beer Factory films repeat the Final Season's opening. The Runaway Train Arc, the ending, is still to come.

AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
