Also known as Initial D 1st Stage, Inisharu Di, イニシャルD
The Initial D watch order threads First Stage, the later stages, the movies, and the Battle Stage compilations into one correct sequence. Start with Episodes 1-26, the original First Stage, then move through the Second Stage material and the short Extra Stage entries that follow. The Third Stage Movie comes next, bridging into more episodes before the Battle Stage compilation and Extra Stage 2. From there, Battle Stage 2 precedes the long Fourth Stage run of Episodes 5-24, and the series wraps with the later Episodes 1-14 and Episodes 1-4 blocks. Because Initial D was released across so many separate stages, specials, and films, the chronological order isn't obvious from streaming menus — following the numbered sequence here keeps Takumi's races in the order the story intends, with every movie and Battle Stage recap dropped into its proper place rather than left for you to guess.

AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
