Where to start Kaiji: begin with Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor, episode 1 (2007), then watch Kaiji: Against All Rules (2011). This Kaiji watch order covers the whole anime. Ultimate Survivor (Episodes 1-26) adapts the first manga: Kaiji Ito, buried in a friend's debt, boards the gambling ship Espoir for Restricted Rock-Paper-Scissors, then survives Brave Men Road and plays E-Card against Yukio Tonegawa. Against All Rules (Episodes 1-26) adapts the second manga, from the underground labor camp and its Chinchirorin game to the pachinko machine called the Bog. Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues (Episodes 1-24) is a comedy spin-off set before Kaiji meets Tonegawa; story-wise it comes first, but it is optional and funnier once you know the main series. The anime stops after Against All Rules; a new live-action film, Kaiji: Jinsei Revenge Game, opens in Japan on January 29, 2027.

AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
