Saga of Tanya the Evil Watch Order
4 entries · · community-maintained
The Saga of Tanya the Evil watch order covers both 12-episode seasons, the 2019 movie and the Operation Desert Pasta short in the correct chronological order. Start with the original 2017 series, which follows Tanya Degurechaff through her first campaigns with the 203rd Aerial Mage Battalion. The movie is not a recap. It is a full sequel that picks up after episode 12, and Season 2 continues from where the film ends rather than from the TV finale, so skipping it leaves a real gap in the story. Operation Desert Pasta is a 17-minute comedy side story released in 2021 that takes place before the events of the movie, which is where it sits here, but nothing in it is required to follow Season 2, so treat it as optional. The chibi Youjo Shenki promo shorts are left out because they are gag content rather than part of the story. If you are unsure where to start or whether to watch the movie before Season 2, follow the sequence below.

How this order works
AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
