The Slayers watch order threads five TV seasons together with the franchise's movies and OVAs in the correct chronological order, and it doesn't follow release dates. The list opens with the prequel and side stories — Slayers Excellent and Slayers: The Book of Spells — before the theatrical films: The Motion Picture, Slayers Return, Slayers Great, and Slayers Gorgeous, which spotlight Lina Inverse's earlier misadventures. From there the main TV run kicks in with two 26-episode seasons, the Slayers Premium movie, and a third 26-episode season, followed by two more 13-episode seasons that continue the story. Because the OVAs and films are set before the television arcs, watching them first keeps the spellcasting, sorcery, and comedic mayhem in narrative order rather than jumping around by air date.
