The Slayers Watch Order
12 entries · · community-maintained
Also known as Slayers, Slayers TV
The Slayers watch order threads five TV seasons together with the franchise's movies and OVAs in the correct chronological order, and it doesn't follow release dates. The list opens with the prequel and side stories — Slayers Excellent and Slayers: The Book of Spells — before the theatrical films: The Motion Picture, Slayers Return, Slayers Great, and Slayers Gorgeous, which spotlight Lina Inverse's earlier misadventures. From there the main TV run kicks in with two 26-episode seasons, the Slayers Premium movie, and a third 26-episode season, followed by two more 13-episode seasons that continue the story. Because the OVAs and films are set before the television arcs, watching them first keeps the spellcasting, sorcery, and comedic mayhem in narrative order rather than jumping around by air date. This is the complete Slayers anime — every season, movie, and OVA — arranged so newcomers know exactly where to start and in what order.

How this order works
AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
