Also known as the Garden of sinners Chapter 1: Thanatos. (Overlooking View), Kara no Kyoukai: Fukan Fuukei
The Garden of Sinners (Kara no Kyoukai) watch order lays out all eight films plus two OVA chapters in the recommended chronological sequence rather than release order. Start with Satsujin Kousatsu (the murder-speculation opener), then Garan no Dou, Tsuukaku Zanryuu, and Fukan Fuukei, which reorder the fragmented timeline of Shiki Ryougi and the mysteries around her. Watch the Mirai Fukuin Extra Chorus special next, followed by Mujun Rasen, Boukyaku Rokuon, and Satsujin Kousatsu (Go), then the Shuushou special OVA, and finish with the Mirai Fukuin film. Because the original films were released out of narrative order, following this arrangement is the correct order to understand the plot as events actually unfold. It's a dense, atmospheric supernatural mystery, and viewing the movies and OVAs in this exact sequence is the difference between confusion and a story that clicks into place.

AnimeChrono watch orders put every season, movie, OVA, ONA and special for a franchise in chronological story order, the order the events happen. When an OVA or movie takes place partway through a season, the episode range is split so it sits where it belongs. Entries you can skip are marked optional, and each order says where to start. Release order, sorted by air date, is a secondary view once every entry has a date. The orders began as a hand-curated set, and episode counts and air dates come from AniList. Fans maintain the orders from there. Any signed-in user can edit one. Edits from trusted contributors go live right away and the rest are reviewed first. Every change is versioned and can be reverted, and each order shows when it was last updated and last checked.
